Cupid Retired
He simply couldn't outperform the cuteness of our pups. Poor guy. He really tried.
Today especially, Sassy Max and I are sending all the love to all of you, our community. As if you didn’t know, learn who your (no doubt) perfect Valentine is, and then hear Sassy Max’s thoughts on his love for you.
But first! Doug and Sugar introduce themselves and they are super cute. If you want your fur babies possibly featured in one of our newsletters with your own story, please write us at [email protected]. And don’t forget to glance at the Q2 2025 catalogue because we are mid-way through Q1 but there are still goodies in there for you and your dog. I didn’t leave the two legged creatures out of this one. I also look forward to you joining our Fido Family (details in newsletter).

Sending Love To Our Community
♥️ Fido Fly community members are the best ♥️
Our old man, Doug, was rescued from the Miami Humane Society when he was approximately 8-months old. He was returned twice previously, so we knew we were in for a ride! Turning on a gas stove burner and chewing the plastic pad in his crate were par for the course, but he was a happy lovable guy who needed some training and multiple ways to burn energy. Luckily he loved to run in the yard and swim in the pool. He is now 12 and has turned into a lovely elder statesman, but he can still tear it up with our newest rescue, Sugar. She was a rescue from the Lake County Humane Society by our elder neighbors, but turned out to be too much dog for them. We had fallen in love with her, and did not want to see her go back to a shelter, so we took her for a weekend to make sure that she and Doug were compatible. The photo says it all.

We are glad you like Fido Fly and are part of this community who loves dogs. We would like to invite you to receive Fido Family, a weekly email that digs deep into dog topics such as step-by-step training guides and vet-approved health information. Importantly, it also provides guidance and tools for human health because we need to be in good shape to take care of our pups. Because our community is a dog-loving family, it’s called Fido Family, and gets delivered every Tuesday.

Why Your Dog Outshines Cupid
Forget overpriced prix-fixe dinners and last-minute “what are we?” texts - your perfect Valentine has been staring at you with heart-shaped eyes this whole time. Your little fluff babe is the most loyal, affectionate, and drama-free Valentine you’ll ever have (emphasis on drama-free). Here’s why:
1. No drama - No awkward texting games, no weird gift expectations - your dog is all in, 100% of the time. They won’t ghost you, cancel plans, or say “it’s not you, it’s me.”
2. Daily anniversary - Every day with you is their favorite day, and they show it with tail wags and happy dances every time you walk through the door. No need for calendar reminders - your dog celebrates you daily.
3. Ultimate cuddle buddy - Who needs a Valentine’s date when you’ve got a snuggle pro? Your dog won’t steal the covers (okay, maybe just a little), and they’ll always make room for you on the couch - even if it means sitting on you (like mine does).
4. No judgment - Belt out that Celine Dion ballad or rewatch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days for the 12th time and your dog won’t roll their eyes. In fact, they’ll probably just tilt their head and love you even more (or, like mine, sleep through it).
5. Love you more than food (almost) - Some dogs have been known to skip meals when their humans aren’t home. That’s real love. (But let’s be honest, if you leave a steak unattended, love might take a brief pause.)
6. Unconditional love lesson - No mood swings, no holding grudges—whether you’re having a great hair day or wearing the same hoodie for the third time this week, your dog thinks you’re perfect.
7. Adventurous - Spontaneous road trip? Sunset walk? Your dog is already at the door. They’re the ultimate “yes” partner - ready for every wild idea you throw their way.
8. Keep your heart beating - Science says owning a dog lowers your risk of heart disease, reduces stress, and keeps you active. Love that actually keeps your heart healthy? Now that’s a keeper (unlike my last three exes, bless).
9. Listeners who don't interrupt - Vent about work, bad dates, or your existential crisis - your dog is all ears. No bad advice, no interruptions, just pure, unwavering support (and possibly some strategic face-licking).
10. They Love You More Than They Love Themselves - And in a world of fleeting romances, isn’t that the truest love of all?
So this Valentine’s Day, skip the pressure and lean into the best love you’ve got - four paws, one wagging tail, and a heart that beats just for you. 🐶 ♥️
