Think outside the box to gift outside the box
It's getting close to the days when we get excited to watch others open up a little gift from us and see their shock and delight. This is also the time of year that my family hits me up with just telling them what i want and making sure to send the link too. So it prompted me to think of what are some unique gift ideas. Let's get ready to sleigh the gift game with some unusual and unforgettable possibilities. (Plus, if I tell my family I want something from the below, they are likely to just get me their own surprise gift, imagine.)
* Name a star for someone - immortalize your loved one in the cosmos.
* Personalized soundwave art - turn a heartfelt message or favorite song into a visual masterpiece.
* Pet rock but with accessories - for your low maintenance friend. The accessories can be a tiny hat or tiny blanket on it.
* Custom face socks - ok, I actually did this one years ago.
* Life-sized cardboard cutout - you or them? Awkward with the actual eye contact.
* Adopt a bat or sloth - you can't take it home but you can support it and give cool pictures.
* Miniature indoor greenhouse - this is good for plant enthusiasts in the cold winters.
* Zero-gravity experience - weightless flight voucher takes it to the next level (literally).
* Edible coffee cups - have your coffee cup and eat it too (good for a sweet tooth).
* Portable campfire - s'mores anyone?
* Recycled skateboard guitar - rock on, literally.
* Message in a bottle - write a message to put in or record a message for it.
* Customized LEGO mini-figure - give them the gift of immortality, little brick by little brick.
Use this list to help inspire other creative ideas for your loved ones. It will save the pattern of everyone gifting each other with a $25 gift card because, at the end of the day, you all broke even and didn't even have to go out in the cold to get it and then wrap it. Go forth and gift like the holiday legend you are!

Science
The Science of Your Invisible Sparkle
Ahem, step aside, fireflies. The humans are here to claim their rightful place in the glowing world - ok, well sort of. And no, I'm not talking about putting on too much highlighter. It turns out that you are naturally bioluminescent. Let's look into this below but spoiler alert - you aren't really a human flashlight.
Your body emits a faint glow, called biophotons, because of the constant chemical reactions happening inside of you. As your cells work overtime to keep you kicking by breaking down your food and tackling germs, they release tiny packets of light. These photons are created when highly reactive free radicals interact with lipids and proteins in your cells and that causes them to emit some light in the process. This happens on the regular but you won't be able to see it because it's like a mircroscopic fireworks show at 1,000 times weaker than the human eye can see.
So when someone says you look like you are glowing, accept it because you're literally glowing, inside and out - science says so. Brilliant!
2025 will be an adventure and so we are planning happiness boosts to get you through with sanity intact. Please help us by sharing what you want from the articles and stories next year.
